Tash the celebrant

Looking for your wedding celebrant?

Hello, I’m Tash, a friendly, free-thinking and creative wedding celebrant, who lives in Hackney. I love living here but I’m also happy to travel, all over London, Essex, East/West Sussex, Brighton or abroad.

Beautiful, bespoke wedding ceremonies

Together with you, I’ll craft your own unique, bespoke wedding ceremony.

You can choose to have a wedding, your way, which will really set the tone for the rest of your day.

Writing is my thing, and I love drafting a love story, telling it so it’s fun, inclusive and resonates with you as a couple, as well as your friends and family. I love the art of creating a ceremony that you, and the people who are important to you, will remember forever.

Humanist weddings can be held anywhere at all; I’ve conducted weddings in the wild, in woodland, fields, on castles, rooftops, in restaurants and pubs, and all kinds of places, including a nan’s back garden. Because it’s a humanist wedding, you don’t need a registered venue. If you have a registered venue, you don’t need the worry of a registrar.

Some couples choose to have a humanist wedding alongside the registrar’s signing/legal bit. However, most couples find that it’s easier (and cheaper) to get the registry office bit done at some point (before or after) their proper wedding ceremony. Some couples choose to tell their guests it’s a humanist wedding, others prefer not to. It’s 100% your choice, and I’ll write the ceremony script in respect of this.

Why choose me?

Having been an accredited humanist wedding celebrant (with oldest, widest network of non-religious celebrants, Humanist Ceremonies) since 2014, I’ve gained lots of useful experience. This accreditation also gives my couples the assurance that there is a proper network behind me; this means that if something unprecedented happened to me, there’d be someone able to deliver the script I’d written on your day. It also means that, by choosing me, you are part of the positive campaign for the equal rights of non-religious people to have a humanist/non-religious wedding. To be honest, we can’t wait to have the same rights as our humanist celebrants in Scotland, Northern Ireland, and the Channel Islands; being part of Humanist Ceremonies means we’re first in line to get the right to incorporate the legal part when we finally get this right. This friendly, professional network also sets us apart from other independent or civil celebrants.

I love making my people happy and never more so than on their happiest day. As well as a passion for language, story-telling and script-writing, I really love researching and dreaming up new ideas. I enjoy listening carefully to couple’s ideas and stories, and I love the collaborative creative process, as well as writing and conducting utterly unique ceremonies.

Please read some of the positive feedback from my couples here and, if interested, why not book in a FREE discovery call?

Love and happiness

Tash xXx
