Tasha the celebrant

Looking for your wedding celebrant?

Hello, I’m Tash, a friendly, free-thinking and creative humanist wedding celebrant, who lives in Hackney Wick, East London. I love living here but I also love to travel, and have conducted weddings all over London, the South East and even abroad.

Your wedding, your way

A non-religious, humanist wedding gives you the chance to have your own unique, bespoke wedding ceremony, perhaps have your own origin or love story told, and/or to bring parts of your own heritage together, in a way that will resonate with you, your family and friends, and kick off your amazing day in the right way. (Otherwise, as some would say, without the ceremony, it could just seem like a really expensive party.)

Many people choose to have a humanist wedding because it is meaningful and memorable, creative and cool, and sets the tone for the rest of their special day. The weddings can be held anywhere at all; I’ve conducted weddings in the wild, in woodland, fields, on castles, rooftops, in restaurants and pubs, and all kinds of places, including a nan’s back garden. Because it’s a humanist wedding, then you don’t need a registered venue.

Some couples choose to have a humanist wedding alongside the registrar’s signing/legal bit. However, most couples find that it’s easier (and cheaper) to get the registry office bit done at some point (before or after) their proper wedding ceremony. Some couples choose to tell their guests it’s a humanist wedding, others prefer not to. It’s 100% your choice, and I’ll write the ceremony script in respect of this.

Why choose me?

I love making my people happy and never more so than on their happiest day. Apparently, I’m rather good at it too.

As well as a passion for language, story-telling and script-writing, I really love researching and dreaming up new ideas. I enjoy listening carefully to couple’s ideas and stories, and I love the collaborative creative process, as well as writing and conducting utterly unique ceremonies.

Having been an accredited humanist wedding celebrant (with oldest, widest network of non-religious celebrants, Humanist Ceremonies) since 2014, I’ve gained lots of useful experience.

I hold a strong affinity with the humanist principles of kindness and equality. This network also gives couples a greater sense of security; in the unlikely event something happened to me, the network would swiftly find another accredited celebrant who could step in, and pick up the script you’d signed off with me. This friendly, professional network sets us apart from other independent or civil celebrants.

Please read some of the positive feedback from my couples here and, if interested, why not book in a FREE discovery call?

Love and happiness
